What an incredibly difficult haul that was. For Mark, too. We had hoped to rent a house owned by a stoneworker, but the move in date was never finalized nor was his acceptance of our rental application, although he seemed to like us. Made it very stressful to get anything planned.
So - when we thought we still had two weeks or so to find a place, we found - and fell in love - with our house, and four days later somehow we made it happen, and moved in.
It wasn't that easy, though. I'm sure you all have experienced moving in one form or another, and our move (about 5 hours from Boulder Creek to Nevada City, CA) is not in any way the worst in the world, but it felt excruciating for us. I am SO grateful to have family up here, and they met us on the other side to help move us in. Without them, I don't know what we could have done.
Also Jennifer, my dear dear friend, who lent her truck and her strength.
So as tired as I am, things are coming together, including the new studio which has incredible natural light!

|I am not the only one who loves this window seat. Lapis follows the sun around the house and this is his last stop before dinner :)|
More pictures and words in the coming days.
I've missed you all..
