More pictures from my day yesterday.

hand cleaned, spun, and dyed bamboo fiber for weaving.
One wall of the artist's studio.

smaller pieces - these will be professionally framed.
One of my favorites.

Another tribal beauty.

I want this on my wall. I have dreamt of it on my wall!  It shows phases of the moon, and at the top are handmade star beads.

Tomorrow I'll be 'transfusing', keep me in your good thoughts?  :)  xoxo Juliette

  1. I have to force myself to look away from this loveliness, or I'll end up taking a weaving class, and I don't have time to go off on that tangent! Thank you for sharing, and I hope tomorrow goes well for you.

  2. Man O Man! I do love his work. I had forgotten how much I love to do weavings. But I'm like Melinda..I must look away for now because I have SO much other stuff going on!!

But thanks so much for sharing. :)

    1. Melinda and Lela, I have to agree with you both - it's so inspiring yet very distracting to be in Doug's studio! He does things I love but that I'm not doing... I'm involved with his work, but only the metal pieces. But wow - I'm really getting into using the textiles he gave me in my work. (must focus! ha!)
